“Children have never been very good at listening to their elders, but they have never failed to imitate them”
~ James Baldwin
MARKETING STRATEGY
When developing our marketing strategy, we had to consider the unique aspects of our target audience. Below are some key points we considered:
Parental Involvement
We have long recognized the role of parents in children's media consumption. Our content will appeal to parents due to its nostalgic effect that is brought about seeing their
children consume the same morally engaging activities as they did when growing up. This will encourage co-viewing and provide resources for parents to engage with their
children around.
Our Audience
Because we are focusing on preschoolers to pre-teens, our content offering will vary depending on the age of the viewers. Children below 10 will predominantly watch Nursery rhymes whereas pre-teens will prefer language
preservation and history content. Our responsibility is to properly apportion age-appropriate episodes for each group while preserving the potency of the lesson we wish
to extend.
Engaging Content
Our mission is to create high-quality, age-appropriate content that is both entertaining and educational. This will help build a loyal audience and generate word-of-mouth referrals via social media platforms such as X and Facebook.
Digital Platforms
Digital platforms are where children and parents spend their time. Our material will be made available on YouTube Kids and social media channels that cater to families.
Collaborations and Partnerships
Partnering with research institutions and African historians will assist in validating our content. Collaborating with child-friendly brands, influencers, or organizations will also help to expand our reach and credibility within the children's market.
Feedback and Engagement
Our platforms will have features that aim to encourage feedback from both children and parents to continuously improve our content and marketing strategies.

ENGAGEMENT PLAN
By considering the following steps, we plan to create an engaging and safe children's content channel that appeals to both kids and parents.
Implementing a children's content channel involves careful planning and consideration of various factors. Below are the steps we have considered:
Content Selection
The type of content and the method of delivery will be both age-appropriate and engaging. We also envisage that the episodes can be educational and entertaining for children. Schools (Early childhood development centers) and mothers through digital platforms can play these videos to educate their children about African language, dance or games.
Compliance with Regulations
Our team will continuously assess the information and ensure that the content complies with regulations and guidelines for children's programming, including fpb (The film and publication board).
Safety Measures
We commit to implement strict safety measures to protect children from inappropriate content and interactions.
Interactive Elements
The platform will incorporate interactive elements such as educational games, quizzes, and activities to enhance engagement. Parents can also participate in these for family bonding and further elaboration.
Quality Production
Invest in high-quality production values to create visually appealing and professional
content. The content will be in the format of a storyline, each episode different from the last
and delivering information in a way a child can understand.
Diverse Content
Offer a diverse range of content including educational shows, animated series, music, and more to cater to different interests.
Feedback and Evaluation
The platform will be user friendly and enabled with a feature to gather feedback from parents
and children to continuously improve and tailor the content to their preferences.
Marketing and Promotion
Our marketing strategy to reach the target audience involves partnerships with schools,
parenting blogs, and social media influencers. Mothers tend to be easily influenced by what
celebrities are sharing online and easily rate the content as something they would do or buy, we aim to use this to sporadically spread our channel.
